Hospital
12/4/06..Alayr was diagnosed with Anorexia 3 months ago. 3 weeks ago (20 March ), she was admitted into hospital as she wasn't making any progress gaining weight on her own. Thankfully she is such a positive girl who with each little hump seems to be able to make the most of her situation. Just over a week ago she was fitted with a feeding tube. This is inserted down the nose (left nostril) into the stomach. It feeds her a high protein enriched drink called Ensure. She has this at night & during the day she is encouraged to eat 3 main meals & snack as much as she wants. I tell she wants this thing out!

25/4/06 ... Well, her eating regime has really paid off! She had the tube removed a few days ago & even though I haven't seen her since then she sounds quite chirpy over the phone. I'm hoping I can bring her home on Thursday after band practise as we're heading up North to the Winter Moon the next day.
